Colleges look for many things in their potential students. They want to create a great overall campus community in which students add their unique qualities and contribute to the diversity of the campus. Yet certain features receive top priorities in the selection process.

Testing Requirements:
UC and CSU systems-as well as many private schools-require certain tests as part of the college application process.
*Registration is done through College Board. Ask your counselor for Fee Waivers.*
Make sure to submit your SAT scores to all schools that you apply to. Go to the College Board website for a list of all SAT codes and the ACT website for a list of all ACT codes.
Be sure to prepare for these tests. You can find practice questions on College Board.
- The UC system requires either the SAT Reasoning Test of the ACT Assessment plus Writing. SAT Subject Tests are not required, but may be submitted.
- The CSU System uses either the SAT or ACT to calculate freshman eligibility
